OLDER TEENS & Up: Contrary to popular belief, not all animation is for little kids and young teens. Below you’ll find entertaining animation titles that are more suitable for older teens and young adults, ages 16 and older. These are titles that are usually aired on TV late at night, and typically feature more intense violence and language, as well as even a bit more extreme romance. Nothing TOO major, mind you, more bordering on heavy PG-13, but not stuff you want the little kids to see. There might also be some themes and messages contained within, that most younger viewers wouldn’t understand or get, hence their rating.
