Create a Family Tree
Posted On 2010-08-29 , 8:55 PM
Dear Diary,
Heads-up. We just added a new page to our website that is a fun project kids can do and possibly get extra credit at school, too - tracing family history by creating a family tree. You'll find it under the HowTo category.
It's a great way for kids to learn about (and spend more time with) grandparents while working on the project.
What a great way to bond in a buzzing kids world. | |

I did mine under the light of an oil lamp and with a piece of charcoal on plain brown wrapping paper... no lamination and no lapbooks in those days; but it added character to the bare walls when we hung them up. The feather-beds were cozy though. ^.^

| | 2. | Love family trees. I remember having to create mine in school. It was part of some huge personal history project where we had to include lots of photos and essays about stuff like how our parents came up with our name...When everything was finished, we put it all together into laminated books for each student.
I still have mine. The tree wasn't as nifty looking as yours, but hey, this was a few years back now. ^.~
