Though he acts like a tough guy, Ichigo Kurosaki (called “Strawberry” due to his orange hair) is willing to help out those in need. Especially spirits, as he has the ability to see them, though he’d rather he didn’t. One night, he stumbles across Rukia Kuchiki, a “Soul Reaper” who helps wayward souls to their final rest but also fights “Hollows”, demonic-looking spirits in masks who feed on human souls. When a Hollow targets Ichigo and his family for their massive spirit energy and Rukia is injured in the fight, Ichigo allows himself to borrow Rukia’s powers to defend his family.
But what was supposed to be temporary becomes permanent as Ichigo ends up taking all of Rukia’s powers, leaving her without them. Reluctantly, he allows himself to take up Rukia’s duties as a Soul Reaper while she mentors him. As he battles Hollows that threaten his friends and town, using a unique sword known as a “Zanpaktou”, he also deals with other humans such as Uryu Ishida, a Quincy with a grudge against Soul Reapers, as well as face some demons from his own past.
Still running strong on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim line-up, you’ll enjoy “Bleach” if you enjoy “Dragonball”-style action with a unique cast of characters. And by offering Bleach in our
