  • Going up a spooky staircase to grandma's attic
  • Turning on the light with a pull cord

  • Searching through the drawers of old cupboards
  • Standing on stacked boxes to reach a top shelf

Finding treasures in  your attic

While you play dress-up with those old clothes and pretty bows you find in grandma's attic, your brother can leaf through the old books looking for treasures buried between the pages. That's what grandma's attic is like in her house – a catchall for all that old stuff and buried treasures of generations past.

Collecting family history

And since Grandma's attic is a collection of family history and treasures, you'll get an idea how you will be making history for the grandchildren you'll have – well, not yet; but some day. Grandma's Attic of articles and treasures can help explain her generation  to your generation – another way of bonding by bridging the gap. And you, in turn, can educate your grandparents about your buzzing kids world... things like the different anime storylines and abbreviations for your chat rooms. Wouldn't it be nice to have your grandparents understand these things a little better so you can discuss them when you visit each other?

So that's what we'll be doing – helping you and your grandparents understand what makes your worlds go 'round, so to speak. And we may even do a newsletter for them starting in the new year. In the meantime, If they don't have a computer, copy a page or blog post you think would be of interest and share it with your grandparents. It's an easy way to earn "brownie points" ... and you can start by exploring Grandma's Attic in a buzzing kids world. And if this isn't spooky enough for you, visit Scary, Freaky Stuff. ^.^

Blue fllower graphic Buzz Tip:  Take a camera with you to Grandma's attic; you never know what you'll find for your scrapbook... maybe a ghost image in the developed photo.
