Feng Shui for teens - Basics

There are a few feng shui for teen basics you will want to keep in mind though.
  1. First of all, ALWAYS use a compass before starting. You need to stand in the middle of your room and create an accurate diagram, with nine squares. Put the correct direction in each square, so you know what will need to go where. Feng shui decor is an art, so you need to get directions right.
Next, use the bagua energy chart for the correct placement, rotating the chart to fit the direction of the compass... north, northeast, south, southeast, etc. Then place your furniture accordingly. If you get stuck, remember there are "fixes" for every problem in Feng Shui.

You will also need to thoroughly clean your room, and get rid of any unnecessary junk or recycle it to fit your new decor. Feng shui for teens can only be done properly when the environment is clean and once clean you are ready to get started!

  Beds:
  • Your bed should be well balanced so that you’re able to access it from both sides, with a table on each side.
  • The bed shouldn’t be in a direct line with the door, especially your feet. In feng shui this is known as the death position, sometimes referred to as ‘assuming room temperature’. Who needs THAT?!
  • Never hang a mirror at the foot of the bed (OR the ceiling); always hang it beside the bed or behind it.
Desks:
  • Hang a lead crystal from the ceiling above your desk for help with concentration during homework.
  • You can also keep a bright light shining here all the time, as it helps improve your education luck. Who knew feng shuiing for teens could be so handy!
  • Also, always remember to sit facing the door, or somewhere that you can easily see the door.

General hints when Feng Shuiing for teens:
  • If you want to keep the energy up in your room while you are gone and attract helpful people into your life, keep your stereo on low volume.
  • To make your parental unit relationships more harmonious, put a happy picture of you and the fam in the Eastern corner of your room.
  • If you’re 'crushing' really hard, place a picture of your crush in the SW corner of your room to encourage a relationship to blossom.
  • Make sure all the pictures you put up in your room are bright and positive. It's all about harmony when creating Feng Shui for teens; and dark, broody pictures do NOT create that!
  • Finally, feng shui for teens rules that you ditch the mirrors. If you MUST have a mirror in your room, make sure you can’t see yourself from the bed at the very least... got it?
