Open Question: How can I share a YouTube song about hope in America and families? (Fri, 03 Sep 2010 14:19:42 GMT)

I wrote a song the day after Sept 11th as I watched a rerun of the towers falling and wondered how we could teach the children who had just lost parents, and all children that the world is still good, that America is still strong. I would really like to share it with families, all those who serve to keep us free to thank them for all they do. It's been played in many schools on the anniversary of Sept. 11th. It's a song of hope and love for America. It's on YouTube Under "Shine in Freedom's Light", (c) Debbie Hamilton. I haven't really sung much at all up until a couple of weeks ago, at school. We could choose between music class, art class, or drama, and I chose music... We've sort of built a choir and I sing alto, but the thing is that I've noticed that when I sing, I run out of breath at the end of a line in the song, and have to inhale deeply quickly for the next one, and everyone can hear it... Are there any exercises I can do to improve on my breathing technique while singing??? Thank you in advance!!! :)

It's just getting worse and worse over the years. I remember hearing Elvis for the first time...now you have these horrible hip hop posing rappers, pop stars who sing about money, fame, and drama, and really lame ass rock music that has gotten so bad, I get sick just listening to it. It's getting harder and harder to find good music..it seems like we've run out of tunes, so we keep a repetitive beat and rhyme about bitches, money, and weed. Pretty sad if you ask me.
